Building history

The knowledge of the castle’s building-history is the result of the research done by building-archaeologist John Zimmer from the Heritage Conservation Office of Luxembourg. His detailed observations made on the ruins during the documentation operations enabled the consolidation and reconstruction of all major buildings.
Explaining the evolution of this representative castle to the interested visitor is the main objective of the recent laser-scanning project that is co-financed by the European Union.
